St. Paddy’s Day Keeps Getting Better

Green fountainWhen we first moved here there didn’t seem to be a lot going on around St. Patrick’s Day. How that has changed! I just want to share a particularly fun event that has really taken off. It’s called the St. Paddy’s Day Dash & Bash. Started with a family friendly 5k followed by a 2:00 pm free college baseball game at Fluor Field. The MSU Spartans (one of my alma maters) vs Harvard. They ended up playing a double header because the predication was 100% rain on Sunday.

No problems with the weather Saturday – upper 60’s and sunny. Runners also got a free green beer and there was a contest for the best costume. The kids had a great time too with their own walk and free rides around the bases on a small train.

Pot O GoldThe event supports a couple of great charities too. Make A Wish, Let There Be Mom and Camp Spearhead. Put this one on your calendar.
